- From BRADLEY KLIEWER Subject MACRO?----------------------?-------------------------------------------------
- Has anybody seen any books that discuss Macros in depth? I know Macro
- Assembler very well, and am familiar with macros, but it would be nice
- to see some techniques for "power users" for advanced techniques e.g.
- optimizing macros which re-define themselves, if...else...endif blocks,
- STRUC blocks, etc. I have had real problems getting IF statements to
- work (it doesn't help that the manual does not discuss what options are
- available -- and there are very few examples).

- From HOWARD EKMAN (SYSOP) Subject N EW COMMAND
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Talked with Dan ?t it two nights ago and it is curious. The first
- time you issue? New, you get all the files from your last date of
- call. If you cntrl K out of the listing, DBBS is smart and remembers
- what the date of the last file you listed was and will start from there
- the next time. If you go thru the whole listing, then you will only
- see the files from the latest date (available in the listing) the next
- time you do a New. Dan says this took a lot of work and he did it so
- that you would not have to see pages?istings again if you stop the
- listing, ie?ou see a file you want and control K out of the listing.
- You dload the files and then start listing again where you left off.
- He also said that a future release will make the actions of the new
- command user selectable, ie. do it the way he has it set, or do it the
- way you think it should work (show all new files again and again.)
-
- Complex, eh?
